Morning | Uluru Base Tour. An early start for your Uluru base walk. Enjoy light refreshments before you begin to explore and absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings as you make your way around the base of the Rock. Morning Conference Session. |
Afternoon | Lunch own arrangements. There are plenty of activities available at Ayers Rock Resort. Maybe visit the impressive Maruku Arts Centre, take a helicopter or fixed wing flight over the Rock or a Harley or camel ride to view Uluru or Kata Tjuta from the ground. |
Evening | Sounds of Silence Dinner Your Sounds of Silence experience begins with canapes and chilled sparkling wine upon a dune top overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As the sun sets and darkness falls, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your table of fellow delegates for an unforgettable dining experience under the stars. |

Fri 29 April | Uluru to Kings Canyon |
Morning | Transfer day to Kings Canyon. Our first stop will be at Curtin Springs a very special part of Central Australia, owned by a family who have made this remote place their home. Find out about life in the real outback as they also showcase their amazing landscape by making handmade paper from the native grasses on the station. After leaving Curtain Springs there will be a brief photo stop to view Mt Connor a striking flat-topped monolith or mesa, another dramatic natural monument. |
Afternoon | Lunch boxes will be provided as the tour continues. Enjoy the ever-changing desert landscape as we proceed to the Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience. Here you will be taken on a guided walk and talk on areas of importance in Aboriginal cultural knowledge about bush tucker, bush foods and bush medicines used for spiritual and physical healing as used by the Luritja and Pertame (Southern Aranda) people. Also learn the cultural significance of dot painting and a lot more during this one hour cultural experience. From here is is a short 30 minute drive to the Kings Canyon Resort, you home for the next two days. |

Morning / Afternoon | Morning Canyon Walk. 440 million years in the creating, Kings Canyon rises 270 metres above sea level and is at the heart of Australia's Red Centre. The Canyon has been forged through layers of sandstone and hard shale creating soaring domes and plateaus that plummet to an oasis of natural rock pools and native flora and fauna. For the energetic enjoy the spectacular 6 km, 3 - 4 hour Canyon Rim walk one of the most scenic experiences you are likely to encounter with the Canyons sheer rock faces and beehive like rock mounds and outcrops. For a more gentle hike - the Kings Creek hike is a gentle 2.6 kilometre walk that follows a trail between the two soaring canyon walls. This hike is completely immersive as you see, feel and smell the natural wonders and the flora and fauna of the canyon. |
Afternoon | Afternoon conference sessions. After the conference session why not take an optional helicopter trip over the Canyon and get a breathtaking birds eye view. |

Afternoon | There will be an inclusive lunch stop at Erldunda Station, one of the few outposts of civilisation along this remote route. From Erldunda it is a two hour run before we welcome you "To a Town Like Alice" |

Morning / Afternoon | Morning conference session. Light lunch included. Alice Springs Tour There’s plenty to see and do in and around this isolated town; visit the home of unique outback community service of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the historic Telegraph Station a must-see in Alice Springs. Take in the panoramic view from ANZAC Hill and visit the spectacular Desert Park that presents and interprets the Australian desert flora and fauna with its stunning backdrop of the MacDonnell Ranges. |
Evening | One arrangements for dinner. The Doubletree Hilton is home to Hanuman's which serves excellent Thai/Indian fusion cuisine. Alternatively there are several good restaurants in the town to choose from. |

Morning/Afternoon | Morning conference session. West MacDonnell Ranges Tour Marvel at towering fiery red walls set aglow by the desert sun, set off by the intense blue of the desert sky and the stark white of the ghost gums, landscapes that were captured so vividly by artist Albert Namatjira. There will be a stop at Simpsons Gap with its towering cliffs, permanent waterhole and exotic vegetation and cycads, remnants from a time when the area was covered in rain forest. Standley Chasm (Angkerle Atwatye) is the next stop with its narrow passage through 80 metre high sheer rock face, another iconic must see attraction where you will have time to stroll and absorb the amazing beauty of this landscape. |

Morning | After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Darwin on Qantas Airways flight QF1959, departing Alice Springs at 9.05am, arriving in Darwin at 11.05am. You will be transferred to the Hilton Darwin Hotel on arrival. Note: travel on this flight is a group booking and is included in your travel package price for the pre-conference tour. |
