Main Conference - Athens & Costa Navarino

6 - 14 June, 2023

Four fabulous nights in Athens
Athens, having been continuously inhabited for at least 3,000 years, has a wealth of history. Many of the ideas that exist today in Western society originated in this city. Whether it be philosophical ideas or the foundation of democracy, the importance of these contributions doesn’t diminish with age.

The magnificent Acropolis, visible from almost every part of the city, is the hub around which Athens still revolves. This temple city, built in the 5th century BC, serves as a daily reminder to Greeks of their heritage and the city's many transformations.

Located on our hotel doorstep is the Plaka district with its narrow and sprawling alleyways that lead you to the most unexpected and pleasant of surprises. In the shadow of the Acropolis and its ancient temples, Plaka has a village feel, with narrow cobblestone streets and village squares lined with tiny shops selling jewellery, clothes and local ceramics. Sidewalk cafes and family-run tavernas stay open until late offering mouth watering local cuisine.

Accommodation in Athens – Grande Bretagne
Our accommodation is the multi-award winning 5-star Hotel Grand Bretagne, located right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of exclusive shopping areas, museums and the business district.  With breathtaking views of the fabled Acropolis, regal Syntagma Square and the Parliament, lush Lycabettus Hill or the original Olympic Stadium, the landmark hotel offers an unrivalled perspective of Athens' mythical history.  With meticulous attention to detail, the 320 rooms and suites combine charming old-world elegance with state-of-the-art facilities.  Upgrades are available for Suites.

Four luxurious nights at Costa Navarino (Peloponnese Pensisula)
After the stay in Athens it is on to Costa Navarino, located in an unspoiled and remote corner in the southwest Peloponnese for the remainder of our main conference program.  Hidden in the region’s striking mountains, the area boasts endless olive groves and a stunning coastline, all surrounding the spectacular Bay of Navarino.

Renowned for protecting and preserving the region’s natural beauty, cultural heritage and 4,500 years of fascinating history, there's everything from cooking lessons on authentic Greek cuisine to spas using traditional techniques for the ultimate relaxing experience.  With beautiful white sand beaches, thousand-year-old ruins and a strong local culture, your stay in Costa Navarino is something you won’t soon forget.

Accommodation at Costa Navarino - The Westin Costa Navarino Resort
This is situated on the world-class 130-hectare Navarino Dunes overlooking the Ionian Sea.  The Westin and The Romanos Hotel next door are the epitome of luxury.  There are a 20 restaurants and bars along with a wide variety of sports (including 2 18-hole signature golf courses), outdoor activities and cultural experiences to choose from during your stay. Upgrades are available to a range of rooms and suites, some of which feature private infinity pools.

We have a fun social program planned in Athens & Costa Navarino, commencing with a Welcome Dinner in Athens.  For something different, our Gala Dinner will also be staged in Athens at a stunning neoclassical venue .  A fun evening is planned in Costa Navarino and our farewell dinner will be packed with Mediterranean food, music and dance.
