Early Career Pharmacist Registration

A special registration fee is available for Early Career Pharmacists for attendance at the conference sessions in Hoi An & Ho Chi Minh City, excluding travel and accommodation.  This includes access to the Welcome Reception/Dinner in Hoi An. Early Career Pharmacists are students, interns and registered pharmacists with up to 10 years of experience.

Optional Tours

A list of optional tours that can be pre-booked will be available for booking in February 2025.   Minimum numbers are required and if not met for any particular tour, that tour may need to be cancelled.

Conference Documents

Please note that the conference documents will be dispatched approximately two (2) weeks prior to the group departure dates. It is important if you are departing Australia earlier than the group dates that you advise PSA Travel of your departure date in order to receive your documents before you leave.

Program Updates

Please keep a look out for the PSA Travel monthly e-newsletter and ad-hoc program updates and useful information being emailed to you prior to departure as there is often critical information that you should be aware of. Please make sure you provide an email address to receive these.

Travel Documents

Passport
It is the responsibility of each person to ensure that they have a valid and current passport and that it has at least six (6) months validity from your expected date of return to Australia. If you are traveling on passports other than Australian or New Zealand you must have an Australian re-entry Permit. The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the operator will not accept responsibility for the currency or validity of your travel documentation.

Visa Requirements - Vietnam
Visas for entry into Vietnam are required for Australian and New Zealand passport holders.  Vietnam Visas can be purchased online at https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt

If purchasing your own visa, please be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when filling out the application form as an incorrectly completed visa can result in you being denied entry into Vietnam.  Both first and middle names are required on the form.

Alternatively, PSA Travel can apply for a visa on your behalf at a cost of A$70 per person.

Visa Requirements - Cambodia
Visas for entry into Cambodia are also required for Australian and New Zealand passport holders.  The visa is included in the post conference package price and will be applied for on your behalf.

Travel Arrangements

How You Travel
You may opt to book your long haul flights directly with the airline using frequent flier points or direct booking on the internet or with your local travel agent. Please advise PSA Travel of your arrival flight into Danang as transfers will be provided for some specific flight arrivals which you are welcome to utilise if your flight arrival coincides with these transfers.

If attending the pre-conference program, you will be booking your flights to arrive in Hanoi on the 8th May.

If attending the main conference program only, you will be booking your flights to arrive in Danang on the 14th May and departing from Saigon on the 22nd May.   The domestic flight between Danang and Saigon is included in the main conference travel package.

If attending the post conference program, you will need to book your flights departing from Siem Reap on the 28th May. The domestic flights between Saigon and Phnom Penh and between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap are included in the post conference travel package.

Airline Seating Requests
Seating requests will be noted; however, seat requests cannot be guaranteed in economy class and airline fees may apply. Specific seating may be pre-booked for business and first class. Please put your preference (if any) on your registration form.

Consular Directives
The Australian Government issues regular travel advice warnings for overseas travel. This information may be accessed by calling 1300 555 135 or visiting http://smartraveller.gov.au  Neither PSA nor its agent can provide any advice concerning the safety of travel and at all times delegates should make their own assessment based on Australian Department of Foreign Affairs Directives.

Health
Although there are no specific vaccinations required for Vietnam, you are strongly recommended to meet with a medical provider to determine the vaccinations needed. Routine vaccinations like Tetanus-Diptheria-Pertussis and Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) should be up to date prior to your departure date.

PSA or its agents are not qualified to provide medical advice. This should be sought by consulting your GP at least three (3) months prior to travel or reading the latest health updates for international travel on the Travelvax web site www.travelvax.com.au or calling them direct on 1300 360 164.

Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended that attendees consider travel insurance and this should be taken out at the time of booking. Like all forms of insurance there are a wide variety of options available from various companies. What is suitable for one could be quite inappropriate for another. Attendees should carefully consider these options and make the selection most relevant to their circumstances.

Travel insurance is available from PSA Travel or your insurance agent. Policy options will be sent to you with the confirmation of your booking.

Note: It is rare that any travel insurance will cover disinclination to travel in the event of terrorist incidents. If you cancel for this reason, you will be liable for the full published cancellation fees as outlined in the terms and conditions on your registration form.

If you have taken out your own travel insurance, please ensure it is valid for this particular journey. If in doubt, please check with your insurance provider.
