Chairman of the Breast Committee at the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) and Co-Chair of the NRG Oncology Breast Committee. Also an accomplished artist of watercolours 
and oil paintings.

Areas of research include analog and digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), computer-aided detection, breast ultrasound, breast cancer screening, high-resolution dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI and MRI-guided breast biopsy.

Director of the Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan. Chairman of the Central Pathology Office of the international Breast Cancer Study Group (IBCSG), lead Pathologist of the Breast International Group (BIG) and co-chair of the Translational Research Committee of the BIG2-98 trial (Trans-TAX). A member of American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) working group for the TNM classification of breast cancer and the lead pathologist involved in the central laboratory testing for a number of seminal trials.

Dr Torsten Nielsen
MD, PhD, FRCPC 
University of British Columbia

Torsten O. Nielsen is a clinician-scientist pathologist and Director of the MD/PhD program at the University of British Columbia. In breast cancer, he pioneered translation of microarray and more recently nanoString based technologies into clinical tests using breast cancer cohorts and clinical trials. Prof. Nielsen has published > 180 papers on topics including identification of the aggressive basal subtype, standardizing Ki67, developing immuno-oncology biomarkers, and is one of the inventors of the PAM50 algorithm.

Prof Shaun Holt
New Zealand

Dr Shaun Holt is an Adjunct Professor at Victoria University of Wellington, has started two clinical trials organisations and formed Research Review, a company that produce reviews of medical research. Shaun has been the principal Investigator in over 50 clinical trials and has over 200 publications in the medical literature. He is the Scientific Director and a founder of HoneyLab and an advisor to several pharmaceutical companies.  Shaun has been a regular contributor on TV1's Breakfast program and national radio shows and is the author of 11 books including the best seller "Natural Remedies That Really Work".
