Bruce Annabel is an acknowledged authority on commercial, management and strategic planning issues surrounding the business of community pharmacy and experience with general retailers. He was the founding partner in 1988 of Pitcher Pharmacy Services, a division of Pitcher Partners Chartered Accountants Brisbane, now a consultant. The division includes four partners and 30 support staff, serving the interests of over 700 community pharmacies Australia wide.
Bruce’s depth and breadth of client and broad industry exposure also enables him to have an excellent overview of community pharmacy strategy, financial performance, key performance indicators, benchmarks and practice management. Bruce presents his strategic vision and service proposition concepts to facilitate and implement initiatives aimed at shaping pharmacy businesses to deliver sustainable growth, profitability and improving patient health solution service. He is an advisor to several pharmacy boards and member of industry committees. He writes a monthly column with his close colleague Mal Scrymgeour in the country’s premier pharmacy publication, the Australian Journal of Pharmacy. He was awarded the 2007 Pharmacy Industry Medal of Excellence.
Peter is Professor and Head of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame, Sydney and an Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney and Northern Clinical School, Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney.
Peter is a Past President of the New South Wales branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, a former chairperson of the Editorial Board of the Australian Journal of Pharmacy, a former chairperson of the Honorary Editorial Board of MIMS, a former Dean and President of the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice and a former Chairperson of the Pharmaceutical Society of New South Wales.
He is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, a Fellow of the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice. Peter is also a recipient of the University of Sydney Pharmacy Practice Foundation Medal of Excellence for Pharmacy Practice and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (NSW Branch).
In 2021 Peter was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to pharmaceutical education, and to community health.
At present he teaches to Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics to Medical, Nursing and Pharmacy students and trains health care students to administer vaccines.
He has previously worked in community and hospital pharmacy and held both medical and marketing positions within the pharmaceutical industry. For the past 40 years he has also been a regular contributor to continuing professional education activities for health care professionals.
A/Prof Shane Hamblin is an endocrinologist and was Head of Endocrinology & Diabetes at Western Health in Melbourne until March 2026. He has honorary academic appointments at the University of Melbourne and Deakin University. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC). He is on the list of approved persons for AHPRA to serve on performance or professional standards panels and is an independent medical examiner in endocrinology for WorkSafe and TAC and a member of Medical Panels. He is currently undertaking a part-time PhD at Monash University in the pharmaco-epidemiology of type 2 diabetes.
Professor Hunter is a rheumatologist clinician-researcher whose primary research focus is clinical and translational research in osteoarthritis. He is ranked as the leading expert in the world on osteoarthritis on expertscape.com, is the section editor for UpToDate osteoarthritis, the Editor in Chief for Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, and has over 600 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
He is co-Director of Sydney Musculoskeletal Health and leads the osteoarthritis team at the Kolling Institute who are dedicated to improving our understanding of osteoarthritis and the quality of life for those who suffer from this prevalent disabling disease.
Jenny is a credentialled consultant pharmacist, Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash and Clinical Associate at RMIT universities. She is an Editorial Board Member of AUS-DI , NAC Australian Asthma Handbook, and RACGP Silver book for Aged Care.
Jenny conducts her own company focusing on Home Medication Reviews, Aged Care and QUM consultancy.
In 2024 she was appointed a Member of the Order of the Australia (AM) for her significant service to medicine as a pharmacist, to professional societies and to community health.
Bill Horsfall has a long history in pharmacy and medical education, most recently as a Medical Educator/ Academic Detailer with NPS MedicineWise. This involved presenting pharmacotherapy and clinical topics mainly to GPs, also to pharmacists and nurses, running clinical meetings, tutorials and briefings. Previously his role as Director of Continuing Education with the Victorian Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society included the ongoing training of pharmacists, interns, undergraduates and the planning and implementation of continuing education for pharmacists. He has initiated, planned and administered many education conferences, training programs and seminars for pharmacists and GPs.
He recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to pharmacy education and medical education.
Rose joined CSL in 2011 and currently serves as the Executive Director, Program and Performance Excellence. She holds a PhD in Physiology from Monash University and is a certified Project Management Professional, with over 25 years of drug development experience across small molecules and biologics and more than 17 years in R&D leadership.
Since joining CSL, she has held senior global roles spanning program leadership, early clinical development, project and portfolio management and R&D governance. Her work has included transforming governance frameworks, leading cross regional R&D operations and guiding strategic alignment across Japan and China. In her current role, she drives global Project Excellence, operational performance and organisation wide transformation, while also serving as Chief of Staff to the Executive VP R&D.
Before CSL, Dr. Fida led development of oncology assets at YM BioSciences, including the JAK1/2 and ACVR1 inhibitor momelotinib, later FDA approved for myelofibrosis. She also managed oncology portfolios at Hospira and led pharmacokinetics teams at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She serves on Monash University’s Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences Course Advisory Board.
