Nagoya
Our first stop is the city of Nagoya which offers a fascinating glimpse into traditional Japanese crafts and history. We begin with a visit to Arimatsu, a district renowned for its centuries-old tie-dyeing technique known as Arimatsu Shibori. At the Arimatsu-Narumi Tie-Dyeing Museum, you can learn about the rich history and intricate techniques of this traditional craft. Take a leisurely stroll through the old streets of Arimatsu, which are lined with well-preserved Edo-period buildings. Kanazawa
Our final stop in Kanazawa offers a rich and immersive experience of Japan's cultural and historical heritage. Enjoy a stroll through Shiakawago Village, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses. These unique structures, with their steep thatched roofs, are designed to withstand heavy snowfall. The Wada Family Residence is one of the largest and most well-preserved houses in the village, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Edo period.
Visit Higashi Chaya District, a beautifully preserved historical area that dates back to 1820.
